Don Frye and his moustache being awesome aside, it's unfortunate that sumo wrestlers haven't capitalized their skills outside their sport. I've seen a few sumo matches on TV and it's actually very entertaining and the wrestlers being big and all show a fair amount of speed and agility, particularly the smaller ones

I've always wondered what would happen between a tanky MMA fighter and a huge sumo wrestler. The sumo wrestler didn't have much going on other that trying to smother Frye the whole time. They seem highly susceptible to lowkicks as well.

I would have expected Frye to have more mobility than Akebono. He should have a massive speed advantage but he moved like he was 500lb too.

I’m of the opinion that if more MMA fighters were better looking physical specimens in terms of their physiques based on their strength it would enhance the sports reputation, the same could be said for boxers and football players. Akebono needs to stop with this MMA Career. You can push people to a corner and smother them and hope they gas out. He's got horrible striking and cardio. He's got no hope in winning a match unless he gets a lucky punch or used his weight to submit them
