If I remember correctly this match was historical for few reasons. #1 Sapp was due to be signed by the Ufc but due to performance issues his contract was rejected before he landed back in the states. #2. This fight launched the nutritional program or portion of the Ufc. In other words fighters had to maintain a level of physical and cardio nutrition. A video that has been pulled probably by request of Bob Sapp shows Sapp and another fighter, I believe from Japan were a double TkO due to neither fighter being able to continue after 1 round ( they collapsed from exhaustion on top of each other). However it was later determined that Sapp was suffering from a heart condition that prevented oxygen to circulate through the blood in his heart.

The fact that the crowd all laughed once they both finally and desperately embraced eachother due to being grateful that its all over, was what really did it for me 👏

This fight was a powerful ad for cardio.
