In his experience the commentator had to get eye surgery the next day for his fight. But he still thinks he shouldve kept fighting after the eye poke.. idiot. Why risk your career and wellbeing fighting with a huge disadvantge from an illegal move..

exactly, we dont need a commentator to act like a tough guy. Eye injuries are not a joke, better to let a doctor see it before jumping to conclusions. Like the commentators talking about BJS against Canelo, saying that he shouldnt quit on the stool and go out on his shield, as if he's taking the cowards way out.... turned out he had fractured eye socket, lol.

@@JD_13 dont get me started on that jesus. Its not just a guys way of earning money he literally cant function normally for the rest of his life with some serious injuries like that. There isnt any extra compensation for serious injuries as well. And going further in the fight could lead to death which no amount of compensation could fix

1:33 Gabi starts with a fist and by the time her hand reaches Oxana's head her fingers are stretched so far out that they bend backwards instead of inwards upon hitting her eye. This was definitely not an accident. It's also ridiculous the commentators acknowledge that it can definitely influence the outcome of the fight, but at the same time say that as a fighter you just have to suck it up.

I dont think it was intentional, it's that when you go to kick, nobody clenches their fist when kicking. It's natural to open your hand when you kick like how she did

The announcers are totally wrong on two counts. First, there is no way that they can say that the eye poke was not intentional. Secondly, if the fighter can't see out of one eye, she is at a serious disadvantage against the other fighter. If she continues to fight and loses, that goes on her record as a loss, irregardless of the eye poke.
