Yeah, there's a reason fights are stopped over cuts and swelling to an eye and careers are ended over detached retina. Good luck in striking sports with no depth perception and a massive blind spot.

The commentator who's saying she should continue fighting with an injured eye is making no sense with that. How fair is a fight where one of the fighters lacks judgment of accommodation and depth perception, plus risking further damage to such very important organ? That would be taking unnecessary and senseless risk of losing sight in that one eye, if you ask me.

That poke to the eye looked pretty intentional. And for the commentator to go onto tell a story about his own eye needing surgery after being poked and almost losing his eye and then telling her to just fight! just shows how out of touch he is.
