Funny how anytime a fighter has an opportunity to beat Canelo they try their best to avoid him instead of beating him the way they say they’re going to beat him. Lara could’ve won this fight but took an L due to inactivity in several rounds and just running in circles and Canelo landed a lot of the cleaner shots and hard body punches throughout the whole fight.

I watched the fight 4 times, and Canelo won, he hit Lara with two punches that almost sent him flying and Lara had to grab the ropes not to go down, also Canelo beat his body up all night, and landed power jabs, Lara ran all night, and the judges look at that stuff, Canelo all the way

For all u casuals, Lara was maintaining distance because Canelo's most effective punches land in the pocket. By keeping his movement, he made Canelo fight his fight and to me, he was landing the cleaner shots.

No sabes de boxeo, no hay forma de que vean ganar a Lara. Solo con verlos a ambos después de la pelea se nota quien ganó. La técnica de canelo es muy sobrevalorada. Si Lara metió buenas manos pero no propuso nada. Canelo lo agarró saliendo en un gran número de ocasiones y te puedo apostar que Lara orinó sangre después de la pelea

Wow. I've seen some biased highlights before, but these are some of the best. People wouldn't know that this was a controversial decision based on this footage. Lara landed 10 more punches overall during this fight. Where are the lead lefts he was landing all night? Where are all of the times he made Canelo miss wildly? Not in these highlights.

I agree, lara was landing the more cleaner punches with accuracy while canelo was throwing the harder punches but not as clean however some of those body shots were getting through and can take affect towards the end of the fight, Canelo also appeared more "active" in the latter rounds while lara wasn't moving around as much as he was prior; though still countering canelo well... i think that's how canelo won overall, remember it was a "split decision"

No fanatismo no es quien ganó y quien dio más, soy cubano y amo el boxeo ,pero e mirado esta pelea con esta ves más de 10 veces ,como pueden decir que canelo gano ,lara no corrió el qie sabe dw boxeo y lo sigue sabe que llevar una pelea 12 raun de riposta es decir antra ataque y se desplaza y se necesita una preparación física descomunal ,lara le dio clase de box pero ppr mucho lo hacía lucir feo ,canelo perdido y solo tirar golpes a lo loco a matar y lo hacía lucir feo en todo los asalta ,esta es la verdadera realidad del campeón que crearon que solo mira el box ppr negocio y dinero 💰, no quiere pelear con benavides mucho menos con morrel ,y este sábado lara con 40 y algo de año acaba de noquear en el 2 asalto y con su misma técnica de pelea y rapidez algo parecida pero hay esta ,y canelo sigue a escondidas arreglado peleas y deshidratando peleadores ,hay esta el campeón qie querían 🤦

Canelo es un fraude. Pero los boxeadores cubanos no sirven para el boxeo profesional. Esto no es boxeo olímpico. Francamente por eso los boxeadores cubanos son unos fracasados y a nadie le importan. Si quieren pegar y hecharse a correr, que sigan en el boxeo olímpico.

Anybody thinking Lara won this is a pure canelo hater. If Lara would have stayed in the damn pocket and engaged then maybe he could have edged out a draw. Instead he chose to leap across the ring like a ballerina while canelo closed the distance and was the constant aggressor. It’s called ring generalship Lara doesn’t have that. Fight was close but i have rewatched this fight multiple times Canelo won this fight go cry about it
