mercer’s quick and snappy but Lennox wears him down , i respect the go mercer gave him , Lewis did too Lewis hits like a train especially those combinations body/body/head , steel fighters but the man from London brought it home 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Mercers jab was extremely underestimated and he had fast combos ..Lewis showed some grit ....I'd have it a draw .watched it live ..dosnt time fly .the heavyweights of today done fight like this .

Tyson under Rooney, would be too much for Lennox. Too fast, and head movement too much for handle

@@Sorted906 Tyson's prime was too short to prove anything of the sort. 4 years max and it ended by 1990. In comparison, Lewis remained in his prime for over 10 years. That's consistency. A prime Lewis outjabs prime Tyson - he's just too big and too much of a out and out tactical boxer with a huge ring IQ to be troubled by Tyson. It'd be like the David Tua fight - Tyson wins the opening 3 rounds then gasses and gets frustrated and pummelled by jabs. Lewis isn't any of the low rated brawlers or old legends that Tyson fought in the 80s to get KO'd in those opening rounds.

How does this prove that he was superior to Tyson? Tyson under the tutelage of Rooney was a completely different animal. He was faster than Mercer and his head movement was astounding

@@earth7551You’re not talking about the 80’s Tyson, is because that’s when Tyson was unbeatable. Once Rooney was gone, Tyson went downhill. Every fight after the Spinks fight is a testament to that. Look at how poor Tyson looked against Bruno in their first bout. Zero head movement and throwing wild punches. 90’s Tyson would have given them all a fight, but 80’s Tyson would’ve been too much for any of them

I had it a 95-95 draw. Lewis Mercer 1 9 10 2 10 9 3 10 9 4 10 9 5 9 10 6 9 10 7 10 9 8 10 9 9 9 10 10 9 10 It depends on how you score round 10. I am confident the other scores are correct. This means Mercer did not win. A small win for Lewis or a draw would be fine but Mercer did not do enough to win. Not even close to a robbery. Rewatch this. Look how many shots from Mercer are actually blocked. Lewis far more active.
