When you're that physically huge and powerful and you are used to man handling people in practice or even in his early Pride Career. You find yourself feeling you don't need skill. As the other guy said Bobby Lashely is an excellent wrestler who straight up Bodied Sapp. Guess he should have learned to wrestle for real.

Everyone kind of knows that Sapp is like the ultimate MMA jobber but I'm genuinely surprised he never made his way to the WWE. You'd think with his look and size that he'd be a natural unless he just couldn't work, but hey, that never stopped guys like Goldberg or Ahmed Johnson.

Probably because he has no endurance. WWE takes a ton of cardio and Sapp gasses out pretty quick carrying all that mass. He is still a "Beast" though.

He never joined the E but he did have short stint in njpw where he won the the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. That was during the dark days of NJPW when they were going through inokism. Where they had their wrestlers face real fighters and it was embarrassing for the wrestlers.

He knew his name and size could draw audience, would tap despite still being able to actually fight in order to avoid the possibility of injury. Whether he won or lost, he would still earn money just for appearing, so he didn't bother giving his all in the fight.

I remember Bob Sapp in K1, he won over a very strong fighter Ernesto Hoost. Hoost had probably not studied Bob Sapp, because you gotta stay away from Sapp the first minute in the fight, he will eventually gasp for air and then he have no defense whatsoever.
