Coincido con el comentario de arriba ... Tienen dos muy buenos, inegables el chino y maravilla ... Por el resto incluso con nicolino que es al que más le tiran rosas ... Lo puedes comprobar en su estadística, aparte que sus rivales eran peores que los de Chávez y el canelo en sus primeros años, y en los últimos, había boxeadores buenos en su generación Pero el se dió a conocer por otro lado, sin acercarse a ellos, fluyendo siempre en los de medio y muy raro uno de buen nivel .. En el otro escalón los africanos, que por virtudes físicas compensan todas sus carencias intelectuales, y los que aparte de ser técnicos tienen un IQ sobre el promedio llegan a ser muy buenos ... Los argentinos, igual que los japoneses y el resto del mundo no tienen una escuela de boxeo, me refiero a que no tienen un estilo del cual partir, al igual que las armas de fuego, las artes marciales en general son creadas por personas de un lugar y enseñadas a personas cercanas ... Diseñadas principalmente pensando en la complexión y dimensiones del pueblo quien las haya implementado ... Por eso el karate do, el kenpo estadounidense y el "karate koreano" son muy diferentes .. Pero basados en el karate de Okinawa.. al igual que en el JJ o BJJ, hay ventajas y desventajas si eres pequeño te saldra dificil salir cuando estás con la espalda al suelo, pero si eres grande se te va a complicar hacer transiciones. Por eso los brasileños adaptaron el jiujistu.. sus físicos son diferentes a los asiáticos. Simplemente los pocos grandes argentinos que tiene se van por otras escuelas, como nicolino la defensiva tipo americano, Maidana muy cercano al estilo ruso/mexicano ... Cuadrado y presionando y maravilla, que con las manos abajo y el movimiento de piernas se movía como cubano y boricua, pero caminaba adelante presionando aún en posición de defensa .. El estilo menos cercano a cualquier estilo ya impuesto es el de maravilla Martinez ...sería una buena escuela para que los argentinos comiencen a sembrar sus bases para pulir ese estilo

Profesionales, profesionales no eran, más bien tenían un boxeo de brutos, un boxeo de carniceros, profesional era floyd mayweather, por eso es catalogado como uno de los mejores de todos los tiempos.

Khan almost got knocked out later in the fight and it did tarnish his vastly superior abilities both in skills and athleticism ... Had Marcos Maidana learned sooner how to be more patient and learn how to Box like Garcia taught him , i can assure you Khan would have been finished , and i had Maidana over Thurman : Thurman was among my very favourite but despite him being more refined and able to outbox good vétérans, i do believe Maidana would have been able to tore his body just like Porter, Lopez, Pacquiao and Collazo did : Marcos hit harder than all of them and if B Opposition ( Collazo, Lopez ) did hurt him , i definitely see Maidana having him down .. Both Maidana and Thurman were beatable, but Marcos had a special Heart/Greed/Anger ..

Good observation, I agree! Ortiz is a good discipline fighter, he just ran out of gas a took quite a few blows. Even Maidana went down a couple times, which is pretty rare.

He got better under Robert Garcia.

Garcia gave him a excellent jab and got him to set up his right hand and right hand counters off of his jab. Even later in his career though if his new boxing skills were not working he would throw them out of the window and brawl.

Every fighter is different and no matter how hard they try to imitate another fighter’s style it just won’t work yea a style could be similar together another but a fighter won’t use a certain style how another fighter uses it. The main objective of boxing is to hit and not be hit but not every fighter can hit and not be hit like Floyd was able to that’s why the hit and not be hit rule was never mainly implemented
