Agreed. I was just thinking that Ellis was becoming a punchbag when the referee made the right decision. But if anyone ever says Ellis has no heart they just need to face Benavidez as well as Ellis did here. It looked bad from the start because Ellis never really took the initiative for more than a few seconds. Facing a puncher like Benavidez like that can only end one way if the guy on the receiving end doesn't get really lucky. Great fight. That's what boxing should be. Nice to not have to see the habitual Benavidez "cut-throat" gesture. It's tiresome, childish, and a bad example to youngsters just starting to box. Was it edited out?

Pelea bien elvandera roja pero una pelea con canelo latiene difícil porque con los que a peliado no pegan ygual de fuerte que elcanelo elcanelo pega fuerte y es bien resistente notengo nada encontrá del bandera roja pero en una pelea con canelo nolegana

I would imagine there's much more comfort in a fight like that for the athletes. So much more of a gym training session than a big crowd electric event. Ellis gained experience for sure, lots to study.

Dominant performance by Benavidez. Ellis tried to get Benavidez fighting moving backwards in the first two rounds. Once Ellis could not sustain this, Benavidez was moving forward and pressuring. It became a methodical beat down.

Love those "sanitary crisis" fight : this fight is the perfect example of it I can hear those grunts, feel the huge efforts behind those combos/hard punches. We can literally live a more realistic boxing experience. And Benavidez? My god he is sooo mean behind every of his punches intention. No wonder Canelo ducks him so hard imo. Ellis was brave tho.
