Nielsen put up a hell of a fight. He could allways take a beating like no other and as a Dane I secretly hoped he could gas out Tyson and maybe have a chance halfway through the fight... Ofcourse he lost. But there was no shame in that defeat. He was a brick of a man and had humor like no other. One of the great danish vikings for sure!

Nielsen's boxing record is impressive. 64-3 and two of those losses were against Tyson and Holyfield. I can see why, as he retired in this fight probably only after internal bleeding or something. Terrible punishment by Tyson.

Mike came in to heavy in this one he should of weighed 219 but he still did very well here his movement probably felt hindered because of the excess weight so it made him look a little sloppy but this is one of his better preformances late in his career that brian fella is tough he gets dropped and gets up lol continues on not to many guys got up vs mike also mikes movement here was probably a little cumbersome because im pretty sure at this point he did have that small fracture happen in his spine i think this fight is after that healed so that took away from some movement until he fully healed , when he had his exhibition vs corrie trex sanders his head movement was well , and in his fight with roy jones he was moving good so a spine iritation just perhaps momentatilly hindered him i always wish he would of vs david tua back in the 90s that fight would of been so wild i think mike had the chin to handle if tua connected but then in boxing very seldomly do they throw to ko artist in a ring together primarily to avoid the guys giving eachother cte or brain injurys one fight were you do see to ko artist fight is julian the hawk jackson vs gerald mcclelen but it looks so brutal

Nielsen is Danish (like me). And he could allways take a beating like no other... and was known for hitting very hard.... I was a teen when this fight happened and I remember all danes were hoping that Nielsen could let Tyson punch himself tired for half the fight and then MAYBE Nielsen could get lucky landing a knockout.... Ofcourse that didn't happen... but his tactics were actually to taunt Tyson and let him punch himself tired.... and it was actually pretty close to happen! LOL p.s. Nielsen actually had a pretty dang decent career holding belts!
